The Al-Fateh Institute of Health Sciences (AFIHS), based in Islamabad, Pakistan, will host the International Dialogue on Health, Education & Global Partnerships on Thursday, August 28. The online event, accessible worldwide, will bring together international leaders and academics to exchange innovative strategies that advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Centered on the theme “Global Collaboration for a Sustainable Future”, the two-hour panel discussion will focus on three key SDGs: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The event seeks to highlight how global cooperation can drive transformative solutions across education, health, and business.
AFIHS is a future-oriented academic institution and a member of the Global Academic Network (GAN), a consortium of international higher education institutions committed to fostering global learning and innovation. Its nationally accredited programs include Pharmacy Technician, Pre-Medical Studies, Computer Science, and Business Studies, complemented by international certifications and skills-based training.
The institute has built more than 20 global partnerships with leading organizations such as IBM, Lenovo, Arcitura, and Columbia Southern University, strengthening its role as a bridge between education and industry. These collaborations provide students with access to digital tools, professional certifications, and industry-relevant training that enhance employability and global competitiveness.
Under the leadership of Mohammad Umaid, recognized worldwide for holding the most diverse portfolio of digital credentials, AFIHS has become a benchmark for digital transformation and innovation in higher education.
The dialogue will feature prominent international panelists, including representatives from Blackwell Global University (BGU), a U.S.-based higher education institution and fellow member of GAN. Sherman Roberts, President of BGU, and Robert Aphang, Director of Student Services, will contribute their expertise on how universities can play a critical role in building global partnerships that address shared challenges in education and health.
The inclusion of voices from different regions underlines the event’s goal of fostering an inclusive and diverse exchange of ideas. Such perspectives are expected to generate actionable recommendations for advancing sustainability and collaboration across sectors.
The discussion will explore how technology can transform healthcare and education systems, how institutions can ensure equitable and inclusive learning opportunities, and how international partnerships can accelerate progress toward sustainable development.
From a business and management perspective, the dialogue will also emphasize the importance of cross-border collaborations to drive innovation, resilience, and shared growth. By connecting academia, industry, and civil society, the event aims to inspire initiatives with tangible global impact.
The virtual nature of the event ensures worldwide participation, allowing students, academics, professionals, and policymakers to join the conversation regardless of location. This global accessibility reflects the essence of SDG 17, emphasizing that sustainable development requires collective action beyond borders.
The International Dialogue on Health, Education & Global Partnerships represents more than an academic event; it is a call to action for institutions, industries, and communities to unite around common goals. By convening voices from different sectors and geographies, AFIHS is reinforcing its commitment to building a future where health, education, and partnerships are the foundation of sustainable progress.
From Pakistan to the world, AFIHS is positioning itself as a catalyst for global dialogue, innovation, and cooperation—reminding us that the path to a sustainable future is one that must be built together.
