From December 8 to 15, 2024, Sherman D. Roberts, President and Co-founder of Blackwell Global University, visited Uzbekistan to establish academic collaborations. This trip marks a strategic milestone for Blackwell, focusing on developing partnerships with higher education institutions in Central Asia, an emerging market with significant potential in the educational sector.

During the visit, Roberts was invited to the University of Central Asia (UCA), where he delivered an executive seminar titled "Results-Oriented Negotiation Method." The event, held from December 10 to 12, brought together 36 executives from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, as well as professors from UCA’s business school.

The seminar was highly praised by attendees, who highlighted the relevance of the topics discussed and the practical experience shared. UCA’s Dean, Odiljon, expressed a strong interest in collaborating with Blackwell Global University on joint projects once the necessary accreditation requirements are met.

Exploring New Opportunities with Leading Universities

In addition to his visit to UCA, Roberts held meetings with academic leaders from other key institutions in Tashkent:

  • Digital Economy and Agrotechnology University (UDEA): Known for its collaboration with Coventry University (UK), UDEA expressed interest in developing joint degree programs with Blackwell.
  • INHA University of Tashkent: A branch of INHA University from South Korea, renowned for its programs in computer science, AI, and cybersecurity. INHA representatives emphasized their interest in joint programs and leadership training.
  • TEAM University: Affiliated with South Bank University (UK), TEAM University focuses on business education with a modern, agile approach and is eager to explore collaborations with Blackwell.

Strategic Meetings with Business Leaders

Sherman Roberts also made key contacts outside the academic world, meeting with Sherzod O. Ata-Mirzaev, Deputy Director of the Association of Managers of Uzbekistan, and Jamil Maksui, Advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. These meetings open up new opportunities for cooperation in management and economic development.

Roberts’ trip to Uzbekistan represents a significant step forward in Blackwell Global University’s mission to expand its global presence and foster academic exchange. With potential partnerships at prestigious universities, Blackwell is reaffirming its commitment to providing world-class education and building connections that will transform the international educational landscape.

Discussions with these institutions will continue in the coming months, with the goal of formalizing agreements to launch joint programs and create new learning opportunities.

Once again, Blackwell Global University is positioning itself as a leader in global education, bringing its vision and excellence to international stages.
